I remember the exact date I fell in love with Pilates: January 9, 2014.  It was a Thursday morning and I was taking my first Beginner Mat Class.  As we went through the 5 basic spinal movements I had a sense that I was doing something completely different than anything else I had ever done.  Progressing through the weeks, I started to feel and see a difference in my body.  I realized that Pilates was changing my life.  I was experiencing more efficient movement and breath, standing taller, and feeling stronger in a more fundamental way than ever before.  When I look back at pictures of myself at that time, I can see that I have a completely different posture now.  Joseph Pilates, in all his amazing foresight, was so correct when he said, “Pilates develops the body uniformly, corrects wrong postures, restores physical vitality, invigorates the mind, and elevates the spirit.” I invite everyone to come to Lead and share in the wonderful benefits of Pilates!!
