Burn is a 50 minute athletic-based Pilates class that caters to avid Pilates goers, as well as those who are new to the philosophies of Classical Pilates. Guaranteed sweat in this class! Burn utilizes infrared heat (at approximately 28 degrees Celsius) to deliver a full body lengthening & strengthening workout. The benefits of Burn include: gaining healthy & complete spinal movement, pelvic floor health, injury prevention, tension & stress relief, detoxification, restorative & stimulating health to all of the body’s organs, joints and muscles utilizing infrared heat. Infrared heat mimics the rays of the sun so it is very therapeutic. The focus of Burn is to develop core strength, banish chronic aches and pains, enhance overall strength, increase flexibility, improve posture, muscle tone & mental clarity.

We will be the first to admit that Burn is not intended to be a class for every body. Bottom line is that this class will be a contraindication for many clients, including clients who have/are:

  • osteopenia or osteoporosis
  • rheumatoid or osteoarthritis
  • pregnant
  • healing from an injury
  • heart issues
  • cannot tolerate heat
  • prone to fainting
  • low or high blood pressure
