After finishing my degree in kinesiology, I didn’t really know what was next for me. But after taking classes here, I really felt that I had found what I was looking for. I love that I am constantly learning something new and that Pilates really focuses on us putting our bodies into proper alignment. The way I walk and stand is completely different now, compared to when I started my first class here. I also look at flex classes in a whole new light now that I have taken mat. I think that’s the best part, we are taught skills that are applicable inside and outside of the studio.
They love being here as much as the staff does. They are also a very welcoming group of people. Anyone can walk into a class and feel comfortable and encouraged to participate. If you are ever struggling in a class or with an exercise, it’s more than likely someone else has shared a similar experience.
I would have to say Advanced Mat. It is the most challenging class I have ever taken, yet it is also the most rewarding. After putting so much time, effort, and hard work into Beginner and Intermediate Mat, it really is an accomplishment to participate in this class.
I recently discovered that I love hiking. I am probably the slowest hiker you will ever meet, but I still think it’s great.
Words of Wisdom?
Don’t stop moving. I feel like as humans we have started to take movement for granted. People don’t realize how much movement can help their aches and pains. We tend to wait until there is a problem before we take action. I think it is important for us to stop thinking of movement as a chore and start realizing that it is the best type of preventative medicine that we have.
