What drew you to Lead?
My interest in Pilates began over 20 years ago when I started taking classes myself. I soon realized it would compliment my occupation as a Physiotherapist and I began introducing the practice to my patients. Upon moving back to Saskatoon (after living in the States for the past 20+ years), I came across Lead and immediately liked the philosophy of looking at the overall health of an individual and their integrated therapy approach. I began with the Intro Offer and was very impressed with the knowledge and level of instruction I received in the classes. The atmosphere of the studio was warm and the energy from the clients was evident. I knew immediately it was a place I wanted to be a part of.

What do you love most about working with clients?
I really enjoy getting to know my clients and working with them on their unique goals. I find incredible satisfaction watching a client overcome a challenge or finding a deeper understanding of movement and how that translates into their daily life. Many times I will learn just as much from my clients and they learn from me.

What is your favourite class?
I really enjoy all the equipment classes. I like how the equipment can be used to assist or challenge a specific exercise. The many different options and variations the equipment can provide keeps the classes fresh and exciting.

What don’t we know about you that you’d like to share?
I’m a real holiday gal with Halloween and Christmas being my favs. I enjoy all the festivities that surround each holiday and have been know to go a bit over the top at times with decorating or party planning. Sometimes once I get going I just can’t stop. I just enjoy making it fun and celebrating with family and friends.

Do you have any words of wisdom?
I think the biggest gift that Pilates has given me is to be present in the moment. Fully surrender to that time for yourself and be grateful for it. It’s so important in this crazy busy world to take a few moments to “ take care of you”.
